Robin Brooks Design created the entire magazine design for the Western
Massachusetts Business & Economic Review, based in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Robin developed the
logo design, incorporated it into a masthead, created the interior, generated
most of the ads, and produced the magazine throughout.
Robin met with the publisher and the magazine team. The look of a national
magazine was wanted. Robin gathered together as many high distribution
magazines as she could find. Time. Newsweek. Forbes. She also collected local
newspapers and magazines. Then she went to the drawing board to produce the
look and feel of a business magazine to fit the area. It needed to be clean and
professional, yet accessible to the combination of businesses from both smaller
metropolitan and rural, tourist areas within which it was being published.
